The lightest watch of the world

Between 16 to 20 January 2017 in Geneva has an exhibition of jewelry and watches. Within this private event was presented the lightest mechanical watch in the world. The clock was created by a team of specialists are present University of Manchester, Richard Mille Watches and McLaren Formula 1 team.
McLaren RM 50-3 revolutionary product name and has a housing made of a composite material called TPT Graph based on Graphene. For those unaware, graphene is a recently discovered material of two scientists working at the University of Manchester. In 2004 the two were able exfoliation of graphite in laboratory conditions. Graphene thus obtained had the thickness of a carbon atom and is similar to a hexagonal network of carbon atoms. Physico-chemical characteristics of this material are exceptional. Thus, graphene has an electrical conductivity a million times higher than copper, managing to carry this impressive amount of electrons away without too much heat. It is also highly resistant is two hundred times stronger than steel and six times lighter.
All this made clock may not weigh more than 40 grams, the housing material being used titanium and carbon fiber. Even the strap is in Graphene. There is much information about the precision with which measure the passage of time clock.
To start the clock will be produced in a limited edition of only 75 units will be sold exclusively through stores Richard Mille. The price is not yet known but it is certain that with time buyers will receive a miniature replica of the 2017 Honda race car McLaren.

Yet they were interested in buying watches about 4,600 persons.
